Jess is an award-winning journalist dedicated to government accountability with years of experience in both breaking news and long-form investigations.

In 2019, after winning the prestigious Peter Acland fellowship, she moved from New Zealand to New York to work at The Baffler magazine, where she is currently a staff writer. Jess is on an O1 Extraordinary Abilities U.S. work visa.
